Let’s Finally Take David Attenborough at His Word

Cartoon by Alex Bowman for Our Daily Planet

Sir David Attenborough is 94 years old and is actively raising awareness about the fragile state of our planet. He’s out with a new book and a new film called A Life for Our Planet which premiers on Netflix and depicts Attenborough’s observations about the wild places he’s visited in his nearly 70-year career and how he’s witnessed them change.

The way that we humans live on Earth is sending it into a decline” he recently told 60 Minutes’, Anderson Cooper. We haven’t heeded Attenborough’s warnings before but as this treasure of a nonagenarian releases the next chapter of his storytelling, we maybe oughta take him at his word!
