One Cool Thing: Catch the Perseid Meteor Shower

Early next week the Perseid meteor showers will hit their peak. According to the American Meteor Society, this year, the peak of the highly anticipated meteor shower falls on the night of Monday, Aug. 12, into the early morning hours of Tuesday, Aug. 13. As Accuweather explained the Perseids are most active after midnight through daybreak and are incredible to behold: up to 100 meteors per hour will occur during the peak night. So grab a blanket and go catch some shooting stars!
