One Important Thing: Preparing for Coronavirus 


As health officials warn that it’s time to take coronavirus seriously here in the United States we wanted to provide some helpful resources to help you get prepared. We can’t wish away COVID-19 but we should all understand the situation and know what to do to should our lives become disrupted.

If you’re wondering how alarmed you should be, yesterday’s episode of the Daily broke things down really well. Additionally, one of our biggest #FriendsOfThePlanet recently started a podcast called EPIDEMIC where you can hear from some of the world’s leading infectious disease and public health experts to better understand the latest science and the bigger context of the virus. Then check out the CDC’s website so you know the symptoms and latest situation updates.

For a preparedness checklist, we recommend CNN’s roundup for helpful tips. And also make sure to check with local officials to find out what your city’s pandemic response plan is.
