One Planet Thing: Celebrating World Environment Day Across the Globe

Tomorrow, June 5th is #WorldEnvironmentDay and the theme this year is #GenerationRestoration to raise awareness about the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration.  The events actually kick off officially at 9 a.m. ET this morning and there is programming throughout the day today and tomorrow — including a  Virtual Launch Gala with inspiring messages from world leaders, activists, celebrities, and musical performances. His Holiness Pope Francis will welcome the start of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration; international supermodel, author and philanthropist Gisele Bundchen will appear in conversation with ecologist John D. Liu; as will Dr. Jane Goodall.  You can catch all the action right here. But wherever you are, take a minute to celebrate the wonders of our planet and the need to conserve 30% of it by 2030. Happy World Environment Day!
