We do not charge our readers a subscription fee for our content. We want to continue to grow our readership, particularly among millennials and public servants. Voluntary contributions from readers will help us employ interns and freelance journalists, expand our content, and reach a larger audience.
If you make a contribution of $150 or more, you will become an official “Friend of the Planet” and receive a Friend of the Planet T-shirt or water bottle.
Our Daily Planet is a daily morning email (M-F) to keep you informed of the stories shaping our environment. If these issues matter to you, we’d like to be the best ten minutes of your morning.
Our partners, Ali Velshi and Chris Hayes of MSNBC will be posing questions for about 30 minutes to each of the Presidential candidates who are attending. What should they ask? We want to know what you think! If you have a question you think they should ask, send it to us at climateforum@ourdailyplanet.com. Please share this request for questions with friends, family, and co-workers! The more questions we receive, the better!
And one other exciting thing we want to announce!
We want to turn over Our Daily Planet to students on Thursday and Friday! We are holding a contest to fill our pages. Any student who wants to enter should submit a 300-word essay on the topic: “Why Does Presidential Action on Climate Change Matter.” We will choose 10. Students can send essays to monica@ourdailyplanet.comby 6 pm Tuesday, and we will let them know on Wednesday if we choose it! 300 words is the limit so short and sweet!
Please put ESSAY in the subject line so we know to look for those! The contest is limited to current students – please put your school and age at the top of the essay.
