A big snowstorm will barrel across the middle of the country over the weekend — following a 1500 mile pathway from Denver to Baltimore. The storm will begin on Friday and last through late Sunday before it blows out to sea. According to the National Weather Service, 20 million people are in the storm’s path, including the cities of Kansas City, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Louisville, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and perhaps even New York City. Travel in the air and on the roads may get tricky. St. Louis appears to be likely to take the worst hit. Stay tuned to your local forecast for updates.
Why This Matters: Mother nature does not seem to realize that the National Weather Service and other “essential” federal employees who keep us safe during storms like this one are working without pay. Their jobs just got harder.
