It’s World Ocean Day on Saturday, and these “plastic service announcements” from the Lonely Whale Foundation with some pretty cool cameos are rolling out to raise awareness about the damage to the environment caused by 500 billion single-use plastic bottles we use every year. Forget straw bans! The movement is on to plastic water bottles now — and retraining people to change the way they “hydrate.” So for this Oceans Day, we can all try to hydrate like our ocean and our future depend on it. And if you send us a #hydratelike video clip showing how you are shifting away from single-use plastic bottles we will put together our own Friends of the Planet “plastic service announcement.”
