This week is the calm before the storm leading up to the first 2020 presidential debates on June 26th and 27th. We’ll take it! Hope everyone had a nice weekend, we’re glad to have you back with us this morning. Here’s a look at what’s happening this week:
- Congress: On Tuesday the House Enegery and Commerce Committee will hear from former EPA administrators on Tuesday regarding the direction the agency is currently headed. Also on Tuesday, the House Natural Resources Committee will hear testimony on how to develop a 21st-century off-shore wind workforce.
- Climate Politics: Look out for pressure to continue mounting on DNC Chairman Tom Perez after 50 members of the DNC sent him a resolution late last week demanding that a climate change debate be held for Democratic presidential candidates.
ICYMI: Broadway musical Hadestown, which has notable climate change themes, won Best Musical at the Tony Awards last night.
